MXF Info is the only MXF file analyzer available for Mac OS X. The analyzer takes advantage of the fully documented and open MXF format and provides full control over MXF creation processes for the content owner. MXF creators can not hide secrets or errors, the analyzer shows all KLVs within a MXF file including e.g. MPEG, DV and AES3 header data. It works with SD D10 as well as with new essence types such as MPEG-4 H.264, JPEG 2000 and MPEG-2 Long GOP.

How dos it work?
KLV Wrapping - Key Length Value - Encoding the Essence into Partitions
MXF file's data is embedded in many small parts, KLV´s - Key - Length - Value. Each MXF file consists a collection of KLVs. This method is called KLV wrapping. Then again each of a KLV has a unique Key to identify it. Originally every MXF decoder knows specific Keys to playback the MXF. To open and analyze a MXF, it is essential to know these KLV´s and how to link them together.Hamburg Pro Media´s MXF info professional analyzer shows every KLV with Key, Size and Ber of the MXF clip, as well as Items, Type and applying Values. But even much more.
MXF Info shows a detailed depictive representation of all KLV of an MXF Clip. There are five major views:
The physical view is to see the exact order of the stored KLVs. In the logical view, you can see, how the KLVs are linked together. The essence view shows all the frames, samples and meta-data with a simple and intuitive analyse if the essence in the MXF file.
