Hamburg Pro Media, the leading provider of MXF workflow solutions for the Mac now supports the AMWA Advanced Media Workflow Association, Inc. (AMWA) AS-11 is a subset of the MXF distribution file format. It's goal is to set media standards and technology that enable more effective networked media workflows.
AS-11/ Digital Production Partnership (DPP) The Digital Production Partnership (DPP) is an initiative formed by the UK's public service broadcasters to help producers and broadcasters maximize the potential of digital production. initiative with the new AS-11 Suite. The development was carried out as a Plug-In for Apple's Final Cut Pro X.

The AS-11 specifies a vendor-neutral subset of the MXF file format to use for delivery of finished programming from program producers and
program distributors to broadcast stations. This Application Specification was developed by the Advanced Media Workflow Association (AMWA) to meet a
specific need from leading UK broadcasters. Under the auspices of the Digital Production Partnership (DPP), which includes BBC, ITV and Channel 4,
with representation from other broadcasters and independent partners, the Partnership needed a common program delivery specification for
program material delivered as files.

"This new interoperability workflow is becoming increasingly important as broadcasters and facilities transition to truly tapeless workflows",
said Kai von Garnier, Product Manager at Hamburg Pro Media.

The AS-11 Suite provides a complete AS-11/DPP workflow and delivers "ready for playout" files with all associated metadata.
The package also includes AVC-Intra and IMX encoding/transcoding for HD or SD productions. User-definable metadata templates enable fast and easy export workflow.
The export module provides the user with a continuous consistency check to help eliminate errors when delivering for tight broadcast deadlines.
